How to Prepare for Roll-Off Dumpster Delivery
A few minutes of preparation can prevent a delivery delay. The truck needs more room than the dumpster footprint because it must approach the location, tilt the rails and roll the container into place.
Clear the Approach
Move vehicles, trailers and portable equipment. Check narrow gates, sharp turns and low branches before the driver arrives.
Look Up
Overhead wires and tree limbs can matter as much as driveway width. Keep the delivery path and placement area clear above the container.
Choose a Firm Surface
A level paved or otherwise stable surface is easier to use than soft ground. Ask about boards or surface protection when driveway concerns are important.
Plan for Pickup Too
The same route used for delivery needs to remain accessible when the loaded dumpster is retrieved. Do not let parked vehicles or later construction work block the box.
